2007 Komodo & Raja Empat
Leisure & Diving Expeditions
Our itinerary eliminates the long miles leading us to Komodo National Park and the Raja Empat area. Particularly we avoid a long traversal by taking you on domestic flights from Bali to Labuanbajo and Sorong. The roundtrip airfare is currently USD 200 for Labuan Bajo and USD 350 for Sorong.
The Mona Lisa is a 33 meters traditional wooden schooner, named in Indonesian “Pinisi”. Its seven black sails silhouette, well-known in the Archipelago comfortably lodge 12 guests in its six teakwood airconditioned cabins. The Mona Lisa is equipped with the latest modern marine equipments and security features.
Cruising in and around the Komodo National Park and Raja Empat, our guests enjoy private excursion on white sand beaches, fishing and trekking escorted by the park rangers to discover the wildlife which includes the “dragons” for Komodo, but also deers, monkeys and wild birds. For the passionate of environment, our professional Dive Masters
organize diving every day on the best Komodo and Raja Empat spots. Out of the 200 dives spot that we have explored, there are diving locations for all levels and tastes, containing drift dives (in the current) to see “big” fishes, but also macro environment living in the Indonesian seas: For the non-divers, most of the diving sites are available for fantastic snorkeling. During the 2007 season, The Mona Lisa will carry out routes mixing discovery and diving in the Komodo National Park and in Rajah Empat area, two of the most beautiful terrestrial and sub marines sites in the world. Leisure of diving expeditions are organized every week.
Our Leisure and diving expeditions, on the Mona Lisa are “unique” adventures. In the Komodo National Park with its wildlife and particularly the famous “dragons” in their natural habitat or in the gorgeous archipelago of Rajah Empat, our guests will enjoy the dives or snorkeling in a crystalline water which shades one of the greatest biological underwater diversities in the world.

Mona Lisa is designed in order to offer a comfortable lodging. Equipped with 4 double cabins with the possibility to adjust double beds or with 2 simple beds and 2 simple cabins, which can welcome 12 adults and 2 children. All cabins have a shower (hot /cold water), sink, restroom and air-conditioning.

On the deck, a living room and a small library. The library is equipped with a TV-DVD player to view immediately your videos or pictures, as well as a stereo. A collection of books on fauna, flora and history of the visited areas. Our chef serves international meals, with a focus on the daily fishing. The bar on board offers beers, alcohols and wines. Soft drinks, coffee, teas and mineral water are available 24h/ 24h. On board: laundry, towels, snorkeling equipment, zodiac and sea kayak services.
The Mona Lisa has 12 full brand new Beuchat diving gear set. The teak deck were arranged in such way that the passengers can release themselves in the shade of a marchioness on the principal deck or the sun-deck (long teak chairs and hammock are available). From our experience we know that our guests often discover the joy to sleep in the open thanks to the open deck (sleeping bags and mattresses are available).
